Day One: Paul McGivern

Paul is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science, Urology Nursing, from Southbank University, London, UK. Paul is currently employed as the Clinical Nurse Consultant, Urology, Austin Health, a large tertiary hospital based in Melbourne. Paul did his original training at The Royal Free Hospital in London where he worked as a registered nurse in the urology ward. Paul has extensive experience in urology nursing including working as a Urology Nurse Practitioner on London. This he did for a two year period.

In his current role, Paul regularly educates nurses about issues relating to urology nursing. Paul has a particular interest in the early detection of prostate cancer as well as advanced management of this pervasive disease.

Day Two: Dale Long

Dale has worked in various cancer care, palliative care and pain management roles, in inpatient and domiciliary settings for the past 22 years, in both Victoria and Queensland. She is an experienced speaker with a strong commitment to educating nurses to improve the quality of pain management delivered to patients.

She is currently working at Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute in Melbourne.
