Since 1997, the HealthInfoNet is helping to close the gap in health between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians providing workforce support. Their knowledge exchange research aims at providing the knowledge and information needed for practitioners and policy-makers to make informed decisions. The HealthInfoNet provides information that is timely, accessible and relevant to the health workforce.

The Australian Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Podcast is hosted by Alex Vitte, a critical care nurse practitioner working in residential aged care in Sydney. The ANP podcast is for all topics that are nurse practitioner-related. Alex interviews nurse practitioners working in the health sector from around Australia discussing nurse practitioner journeys, differing models of care, experiences, challenges and triumphs. Currently, the health workforce is made up of around 450 000 nurses and midwives. As of December 2021, there are 2332 nurse practitioners and 1 midwife practitioner who are endorsed in Australia. Thus, nurse practitioners make up for approximately 0.5% of the nursing workforce. This podcast hopes to bring that 0.5% together to share their experiences, learn from others, collaborate, network and support each other in this amazing contemporary nursing role. The healthdirect helpline (or NURSE-ON-CALL in Victoria) is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Digital self-help tools, including the Risk Checker, Symptom Checker and Service Finder, help people to make informed decisions about their health. The healthdirect service is managed by Healthdirect Australia, the national provider of government-funded virtual health.

NMHP supports employers with expert guidance and advice and facilitates the Peer Wellness Group, a safe place for participants to share, receive support and seek professional advice. NMHPV is state-wide and based in Melbourne with a presence in Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong and Traralgon and is a Quality Improvement Council (QIC) accredited organisation.
