Important Information

It is important to note that where continued professional development activities relate to the context of practice for both Nursing and Midwifery, this single learning activity can be allocated as both Nursing and Midwifery professional development (despite being the same learning activity). However, the requirement to obtain an additional 10 hours of CPD for endorsed Nurses or Midwives must consist of additional learning activities which relate directly to the context of practice of your endorsement. Learning activites allocated to your endorsement cannot be recorded for your nursing or midwifery CPD requirements as well. You can record all your CPD activities in Ausmed's free online cpd organiser.

For example:

Hours Allocated
Activity RN CPD Midwife CPD Endorsed CPD
Wound Management & Skin Integrity Conference + 10.5 + 10.5 -
Improving your Knowledge of Medicines Conference Education taken specifically for your endorsement can not be allocated to other CPD requirements.
