Ausmed’s Learning Centre gains accreditation from the prestigious American Nurses Credentialing Center

Ausmed Education this week became the first Australian nurse education provider to gain accreditation from the prestigious American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Accreditation is the end of result of a rigorous and demanding process, and is the culmination of many months hard work for the Learning Centre team.

As one of Australia’s leading providers of continuing professional education for nurses, Ausmed is continually striving to improve the quality of our educational resources and this recognition demonstrates that our online Learning Centre is meeting the highest possible international standards.

Accreditation is recognised internationally, not just in the USA, and will open up opportunities for Ausmed Education to provide continuing professional education to nurses in many new countries. Along with existing APEC endorsement from the Royal College of Nursing, Australia this means that nurses from any country using resources from the Learning Centre can be confident that the education they are receiving is professionally relevant and of the highest quality.

The Learning Centre contains many Video Learning Activities covering a wide range of subjects and topics, with more being added regularly. Each Video Learning Activity contains an illustrated video lecture written, checked and presented by subject experts along with assessment and self-evaluation components.

Topics are presented in an engaging and interesting format that combines video, animation, diagrams and photographs to produce a highly effective learning experience. Learning is now synchronised with Ausmed’s CPD organiser which can automatically document CPD learning.

By focusing on excellence in nursing education Ausmed Education aims to meet the life-long learning needs of Australian and international nurses, providing them with the knowledge and skills to meet professional requirements and ultimately improve patient care.
