Biography

Mambwe Karakoc is an accomplished operations leader in the disability and community support sector, currently leading community‑based care programs at Life Without Barriers, one of Australia’s largest not‑for‑profit disability and community services organisations. Her work focuses on service governance, compliance with legislation and funding requirements, and alignment with disability and national reform priorities to ensure supports are safe, high‑quality and rights‑based. Mambwe oversees multidisciplinary care teams, embedding a strong culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement in support planning and delivery. She also reviews incidents and complaints, conducts mini‑audits to address systemic issues, and collaborates with government and community partners to strengthen service pathways, with a focus on enhancing outcomes and independence for people with disability.
