Sally Borbasi is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Nursing of the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Adelaide. Recently she completed a PhD study that explored the experiences of advanced practice nurses working in acute care surgical settings in a large teaching hospital in Sydney. Her MA thesis examined issues regarding the clinical assessment of undergraduate nurses. She has been in the nurse education sector since 1987 prior to which she was a clinician specialising in intensive/coronary care. Dr Borbasi has an interest in all things related to nursing and nursing research but her special interests include qualitative evaluation and research methods, in particular, the phenomenologies.
