Biography
Leone Carroll

Leone Carroll holds bachelor's degrees in social science (psychology) and applied science (speech pathology) and has worked as a speech pathologist for more than ten years. She has been involved in the management of communication and swallowing difficulties in adults in hospitals (both acute and rehabilitation) and in residential care. Leone has worked in a variety of capacities - including clinician, manager, and project officer. Most of Leone's clinical work has been at Melbourne Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service (Victoria, Australia) where she worked on the Home Rehabilitation Service and the Complex Care Unit and was involved in developing a manual for activity workers in communication groups in residential-care facilities. She then managed the speech pathology departments at Broadmeadows Health Service (Sunshine Hospital) and Melbourne Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service for two years, before moving to Perth (Western Australia) in 2002. Leone is currently project officer with Speech Pathology Australia, the national professional association.
