Seeing a visual transgression of an abuse gives the term restraint a real meaning. To see a person being restrained shows the hurt that the patient feels when being restrained. I am now more confidant that when i come to a situation which, i thought might need a restraint, that i would consider what the patient is actually trying to tell me and that a hasty decision must not be made to the detriment of the clients well-being.
