Biography

Sheila Allen, who lives and practises in the USA, is a registered nurse and holds a degree in the science of nursing. She is a member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), and has spoken at seminars and meetings in the USA and internationally on perioperative clinical nursing, legislative issues, bioterrorism and professionalism. Sheila has had numerous articles published in the AORN Journal on clinical, motivational and organisational issues, and was editor of the publication in 2003. Currently serving as secretary for the International Federation of Perioperative Nurses, she is a past president of the (US) National Association of periOperative Registered Nurses.
