This Bloodsafe eLearning Australia course is one of six related courses on iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) in different clinical settings and with the increasing complexity of diagnosis and treatment.

This case study follows a 72-year-old man with iron deficiency anaemia in the setting of complex comorbidities. The aim of this case study is to highlight the importance of considering all the patient’s comorbidities, and communication between the treating clinicians. Management of these patients may vary depending on other factors.
