Jane Seymour

Jane is a nurse and sociologist, and a research fellow in the Sheffield Palliative Care Studies Group (UK), which is comprised of the Department of Palliative Medicine in the University of Sheffield and the Trent Palliative Care Centre. Jane has worked in palliative-care research and education since 1994, before which she pursued a career in clinical nursing. Her PhD was an ethnographic study of the management of death, dying, and end-of-life decision-making in intensive-care units. Her current research focuses on the understandings and preferences of older people with respect to end-of-life care technologies.
