More than 600 organisations trust Ausmed, including health services across Australia.
Hospitals have controls for equipment and process. The people on shift need the same: a record of what each one has been trained and assessed to do, and a way to show it.
That record changes whenever someone starts, leaves, moves unit or picks up an extra shift.
What an assessor asks to seeGaps open when no one can say what a clinician on shift is trained and assessed to do. Ausmed puts each person's training and competency sign-offs on one record, and the answer is there before the shift starts.
The assessor wants one unit's training and competency by person, with dates, and it sits in three places. Ausmed reports both from the same staff record, filtered to the unit.
Compliance ReportingGraduate and transition programs run on printed forms and end-of-shift notes. The educator can't see who is ready for more of the roster. Ausmed assigns each stage as a training plan, and assessors sign off on the unit in the assessor app.
Learning ManagementAn educator emails each overdue clinician and their manager one at a time, and the hours come out of teaching. Ausmed sends the reminders and escalates overdue training to the manager.
Automation and EfficiencyA casual or agency nurse picks up a weekend shift on a thin roster. Nobody has tracked which skills they are signed off for. In Ausmed they get their own onboarding plan, and their competency results sit on the dashboard with everyone else's.
Quality & SafetyAssessors sign competency forms on paper and file them on the unit, and a Not Yet Competent result sits in a folder. Ausmed Competency™ puts it on the dashboard, with an action log for the follow-up.
Digitising Paper-based CompetenciesAs care moves into patients' homes, clinicians and assistants take on a wider scope. Set the expanded scope up as its own job role in Ausmed, and the training, policies and sign-offs it needs go to whoever moves into it.
Expanding Hospital in the HomeAnswer everything an assessor asks about your workforce from one platform.
Bring your own policies, procedures, training and competency assessments into one place, and let the Ausmed Library™ fill the gaps. Run the products together, or start with the one that closes your biggest gap.
Ausmed assigns each person's training plan automatically from their position and brings it back on schedule. Reminders escalate to managers, and reports run by NSQHS Standard.

Assessors sign staff off on the unit in the assessor app, against your own procedures and tools. Results show as Competent or Not Yet Competent by team, role or location.

Ausmed Policy™ records who acknowledged each policy, when, and which version. Assign by team, role or location, and email reminders follow up anyone who hasn't read the current version.
The Audit Report shows each person and each requirement, with evidence links. The Board Report goes to the committee, and site comparisons cover a hospital group. Export to CSV or PDF.

More than 1,000 Hospital and Acute Care resources, mapped to the NSQHS Standards. Ausmed's T.R.U.S.T.E.D. framework governs each one, and each carries a review date. Use them inside Ausmed Learn™, or as SCORM in the LMS you already run.

Experienced nurses leave and take years of judgement with them. Graduates are stretched across more of the roster, sooner. A completion report only records that someone finished a module.
In Ausmed Competency™, an assessor you approved observes the skill on the unit and records the sign-off. Dashboards show sign-offs by team, role and location. The nurse unit manager sees who is signed off for what before the roster goes out.
Since 1 July 2023, accrediting agencies have assessed hospitals at short notice, generally 24 hours. An assessor can ask about any clinician, including the agency nurse who worked last weekend.
In Ausmed, casual and agency staff get their own onboarding plan. They join through single sign-on or an invitation, and Ausmed assigns their policy acknowledgements that day. The agency nurse is on the record with everyone else.
Compliance reporting is the biggest problem hospitals bring to Ausmed. Every question about the workforce ends up as a report, and in most hospitals someone builds each one by hand from an LMS export, a competency tracker and a spreadsheet.
In Ausmed, the executive's figure, the unit manager's overdue list and the assessor's Audit Report all run from the same record. Each one runs by team, role, location and NSQHS Standard.

Education teams tell us that graduate, transition and specialty programs are a nightmare to run. Ausmed assigns each stage to the intake as a training plan, and assessors sign off in the assessor app. Ausmed Perform™ schedules probation reviews, and the educator sees where each learner is up to.

Hospitals have more staff to keep compliant, with the same education team and paid hours. Ausmed enrols staff from your HR data, brings annual training back on schedule and escalates reminders to managers. Experienced clinicians can take a Knowledge Verification pre-test in place of the module.

As experienced staff leave, the nurse in charge needs to know who is signed off for what. An approved assessor observes and records competency on the same staff record as training. A Not Yet Competent result goes on the dashboard with an action log, before an incident review finds the gap.
